“Avoiding your triggers isn’t healing. Healing happens when you’re triggered and you’re able to move through the pain, the pattern, and the story – and walk your way to a different ending”

~Vienna Pharaon

A Nu Day Therapy

Have you ever felt that life was just not worth living? As if there was nothing to look forward to? Can’t see a future? I can only imagine how alone you feel right now. A Nu Day exists to help you find freedom from the darkness and step into a life worth living.

I’m here to create a safe space for you to tell your story and explore new reasons to live.

Nu = degree of freedom in statistics. I believe that there is a certain degree of freedom that every person must have to make their own choices in life, and that freedom of choice is what gives a person the power to change and the opportunity to heal.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice that specializes in working with people with thoughts of suicide and self-harm behaviors. I use person-centered therapy to build on the strengths of the client to empower and educate them on how to heal from their pain.

My background in the creative and performing arts allows me to use different expressive arts techniques, including movement and dance, to help clients find healing in their therapeutic journey.

I have worked with individuals of all ages, races, and diagnoses; from crisis care/residential facilities and psychiatric units, to crisis/suicide prevention hotlines.

I also enjoy teaching parenting classes to parents working on the goal of reunification with their children.

I lead and co-facilitate Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups for persons with suicidal and self-harm behaviors. Helping them to learn the skills to manage their lives and create a life worth living is my passion.
